Maybe you just grazed her with the arrow, and u'll be able to get a second chance at her.

sounds like my first deer i ever shot at. I just shot at the deer and not a spot on the deer. Shoot over and over again and when the deer come next time shooting will be second nature and you can focuse on the shot. Good luck. Hope the next round provides the bruser

Did you see which way it ran after the shot so that you could track it?

How long did you wait before going to look and start tracking?

Was the arrow covered in blood from broadhead to nock or just the broadhead?

How far from where the deer was shot was the arrow found?

How long did you look before giving up?

Probably shot through the shoulder or leg. I was just watching Uncle Ted on Spirit of the Wild the other day where he shot a deer that didn't bleed anywhere except where it was laying when he found it. It bled internally because he shot through the shoulder/armpit area and the leg covered the wound, but it was a clean shot through the heart. I'd recommend going back and looking again. You might want to consider taking some help so you can walk a line through the woods to see if you spot the deer.

I waited a few minutes then went down to look for blood. It was getting thinking about getting dark so I didnt want to waste any time. The deer ran into some thick cover but its not too bad.I did go back on Sun. nothing. The arrow had blood down the shaft, Thin on the fletchings and none on the broadhead.

You answered them all but how long you looked, total time.
