I hunt in central florida on public land. its about 11,000 acres of land and everybody out there holds about 1 to 5 acres of land. the deer out there r very skittish but me and my father had the idea to plant a smal food plot around our stands. there are no other food plots there so thought its a good idea to plant one. the question is what is a good food plot to plant.

I just watched a show that did exactly what you were thinking of doing. They planted a small plot in the woods where there was a little sunlight about 10 yards from their tree stand. It was called Secret Spot XL and is a seed designed for planting in the woods - variety of foliage and low maintenance. I was thinking of planting some of this as well. The good thing about this is that you can plant it a month before season starts.
