Good pic's.

It looks like a Channel cat by the picture to me also.

I know it can be hard to tell between the Channel cat and Blue cat or a hybrid of the two when they get up around the 40lbs range, Channel cat and hybrids that big can get a blueish tint to them when that big.

Channels and Blues spawn in the same areas at the same time and Hybrid's have been found in some waters.

I read somewhere that sometimes even fishery biologists have to resort to counting the spines in the annal fin because they couldn't tell 100% by just looking at the fish and the number of spines is different for both of the breeds of catfish.

Cool you knew that.

The only reason I knew about the annal fin check was because a guy here that thought he had caught a new state record Channel cat recently was just disaproved by the Fish and Game because the state Biologists did that fin check and it turned out to be a Blue cat.

It was in the newspaper just recently and thats why I thought of it when I read your post. LOL

I forgot to ask you where you caught it?

I've fished Texoma a few times over the years, we set out jug lines and then go Striper fishing for a few hours and then in the afternoon we go back and pull up those jug lines and we always have a nice mix of channels and blues to go with our Stripers and White Bass, though our cats aren't anywhere as big as that one in your pic.
