I agree with most of it.

Not with what he says about the electoral college though. The framers of our constitution perposly created the electoral college becasue the people could not be trusted to popularly vote for a leader. You cannot put to much power in the peoples hands, just like you cannnot put to much power in any one branch of the government.

Well, the electoral college isn't perfect by any means either.

It has allowed the winner of the peoples popular vote to be the loser which only increases the peoples feeling that their vote means nothing.

It also doesn't address the increases or decreases in a specific areas change in population, primarily in population movements from state to state. It has led to an area equivalent to 1/4 of the nation controling the electoral colleges votes over an area equivalent to 3/4 of the nation.

Well no government system is perfect. I think the framers of our constitution intended for the system to work out like this. How could they not forsee a candidate winning the popular but not electoral?

The electoral college wasn't devised and put into law until some 70+ years after the constitution was created so while they may have thought some electoral device was a good idea the framers of the constitution had no idea what the electoral college rules would be founded on unless they could see into the future.

Huh, ya learn somethin new everyday. I always assumed since the electoral college was in like ariticle 2 I think of the constitution that the framers originally came up with it.

Thats ok man but yeah, it was only a raw idea when it was written into the constitution and thats what made the electoral college possible, there were not rules or foundation for how it should work or be ran until later.

The problem with the electoral college is those of us that live in the country don't have a say in the election of president.

When our forefathers came up with the idea of electoral college, they had no idea that we would have TV and that Hollywood would be brain washing the "pity me" people of our country.

Yep, I have no doubt many of the forefathers would roll in their graves if they knew of the millions of dollars given by the rich and companies for thier own special benefit and the influence that tv and movie actors and comedians use as a leverage to plant their political agenda's into their fans minds.

Where it once was an actor saying "Yeah I voted for so and so" after the election now they stand defiantly in front of cameras and a national audience and tell people how stupid one person running is or "he's a crook" and how brilliant and outstanding a person the other guy is just days before the presidential election and how stupid people are if they don't vote for their person.
