I did and I was not impressed at all. Had one shatter on the shoulder blade of a small doe. At 10 yards broadside it caught the rear edge and came apart. The ferrule stayed on the shaft. the blades bent and there was no penetration. I never did find the tip, I jumped the doe for two days trying to track her and finaly found her after the yotes did. That was the last deer I shot with one, went back to muzzy's. I lost more deer the season I tried them then I have my entire bow hunting career of 30 years. They worked better then spitfires but not by much. I did kill 9 deer with the Grim Reapers. Spitfires arent worth the time to take out to the timber. I hit another doe ground hunting at less then 10 yards with a Grim, arrow hit and turned and went down her side opening the hide from shoulder to hip. It was two days before gun season and we harvested her opening day but only half was salvagable. If you havent bought any Grims yet my advice would be not to. If you have to try any mechanical's type/style I'd try the Rage's. I havent heard anything bad about them at all and alot of our hunting group has switched to Rage's. Price shouldnt be a problem as the Grim's were over $30 for 3 when I bought them. I bought 6 before the season and 3 more after opening day. If I remember right 4 survived the season and I gave all but one away to a guy that wouldnt listen. That was the '02 season. I shot a yote and the blades didnt open. Same thing with two turkeys. I know several hunters since that have tried them with the same results. Good luck either way you decide.
