That was on some CVA's that were made back in 1995-96.
Some of the CVA's made in 1995-96 had an overly deep drilled screw hole in the barrel that increased the chances of developing cracks in the barrel and the barrel later bursting, CVA did a recall and all of those CVA owners were offered new barrels, all owners that contacted CVA and sent theirs in got their barrels replaced free of charge.
When shooting weapons where you load the gunpowder its extreemly important to read the manufacturers maximum powder load for your muzzleloader and stay below that maximum and also remember that different powders burn at different rates so on some powders you may need to use less.
Just about any barrel can be made to burst if you use too much or the wrong type of gunpowder.
