Here is an email I received. Thought I would share it with you. This is not me or anybody I know, but I thought it was very cool.

That's an awesome piebald deer.
Keep the tradition alive, teach a kid how to hunt.

From what I have read in the past, I think that piebalds ans albinos are 2 different things but can sometimes look the same. Anyways, I would have shot that buck even if it was pink.

NYBuckhunter is 100% correct.

That's the first piebald that i've seen in a photo or alive that had such a nice big rack and its a rare and beautiful deer, if it were mine i'd be tempted to pay to have the entire deer mounted.

^ It depends on the state.

From what i've read in the past some states like Kentucky its perfectly fine to take Piebalds, Kansas regs don't even mention them so one would have to assume its ok to harvest one but i've never even heard of any here.

In Oklahoma they have piebalds in some areas and its illegal to take a piebald with a regular tag but you can take one if you get a special permit.

Piebalds are LEGAL in Mo. It appears it it also legal in Kansas. Michigan is interesting,,,while it is legal to take piebald,,it is currently ILLEGAL to take albino, but looks like there is an effort to change that.

We have the largest true albino herd not far from my home. It use to be called the seneca army depot. There has been several write ups about it over the years. I myself have seen quite a few of them. Here in n.y it is legal to shoot them. Not saying they are common but not all that unusual. Still cool to see them. I have never seen a trophy class albino though. Piebalds yes. But never pure albino big boy.
