Well, the first tip I have is to get as far back into the land as you can. Alot of people will just stay on the outskirts or not go that far back. If you can find some good trails leading into thick brush, you have a good chance of seeing deer that the other guys are pushing around. Later in the season the deer will tend to stay back there as well due to the pressure on them.
Get into the woods earlier and stay later than the rest of the guys. Especially in the mornings. A lot of hunters come into the woods just before daybreak and leave an hour or two later. If you can outlast them they will most likely spook deer your direction when they are leaving.
Keep the tradition alive, teach a kid how to hunt.
I don't know how many times I have got a deer by staying in the woods when everyone else goes for lunch.Lets just say pack a lunch and the big boys move at noon. Only other thing to offer is schedule some time off thru the work week when most others have to work instead of hunting on weekends. Volunteer to work weekends in exchange for time off through the week if possible.
