I think I may really enjoy this website. No membership fee, credit cards, etc. Just good chatting about huntin. It'd be great to get to know a lot of you so please reply.

Welcome! Do hope you enjoy it here. If there were membership fees or credit cards, this poor boy wouldn't be able hang out. :)

Don't worry. If I did own a credit card, she'd tear a hickory off a tree, no more like an entire limb and beat me with it.

good to have you onboard. I've always wanted to turkey hunt Alabama.
Can you recommend any public areas that are loaded with gobs? I agree,
stay away from the credit cards, they ought to be called "divorce cards".

Well I don't know about public hunting areas. Except, there is a little huntin club in Tuscaloosa County called Twin Creeks. They own a little over 11,000 acres and the place is littered with turkey. Last year while I was huntin for deer, they were everywhere. Not to mention their size. Me and my brother were sittin in the woods and I heard somethin like a cow tearin the bottoms apart. At first I thought it was a deer. I heard my brother click the safety off and shoulder his gun. When I noticed it was a huge gobbler, I had to tell him not to shoot. He is the world's worst person about brush firing. But anyways, it was the middle of December and it was even close to turkey season. It's also the best place for rifle hunting. They are hundreds of acres of clear-cuts where Chevron has cleared out to pump natural gas. On cold mornings the deer lay out in the open clear-cuts to sun.
