They arent by any means, accurate past 30 or so yards. Ive mostly heard of 7 or 8 inch groups at 100 yards. The only good thing about them IMO is the ammo, 9mm is still kinda cheap to shoot. If I was to buy a gun just for target shooting, it would be a 22. Cheap to shoot and pretty accurate out to 100+ yards.

Where I work, Hi-Points are probably our best firearm seller. We buy them 2 at a time in all calibers. We havent had a 40 S&W rifle in a while, but it sells when we have it. Nothing but great reviews from every customer that buys one. Great customer service when you have a problem. I will save you that problem and tell you not to shoot white box winchester ammo for practice. We had 3 come back and that was the problem. Hi-Point(MKS) had the pistols back to us in less than 2 weeks, 1.5 to be exact, from the day we shipped it. They had rebuilt the pistols, shot 2-3 magazines to test and supplied an extra magazine for the customers troubles. They answer your phone call in 3 rings or less and are prompt with the right answer. I wouldnt hesitate to buy one. I have shot the .45 pistol and it was VERY accurate out to 20yds, which is where I stopped because of trees.

I guess my only real input would be this....you tend to get what you pay for. What do you plan to use it for anyway? Surely not hunting?

mostly target shooting and teachingmy girlfriend to shoot, shes good with a 22 but is afraid of the kick, ive tryied .243 b4 and she still said it kicked too much so i figure a 9mm its a good start, its a rifle that shoots pistol ammo, and its kick is minumum.. and i geuss for a beater gun for my pick up... (animals) and for hunting why wouldnt i? me and my dad went out and a nice doe came around this was his first year hunting so he was nervous about shooting, so i told him to give me his 9mm glock and i shot her in the neck at about 30 yard... down she went

Have her try a 223, not much kick at all and far better accuracy than that Hipoint. Even a Mini-14 would be more accurate, and that isnt saying much lol. The only plus with a Hipoint is that they have a lifetime warranty on them, well you have to pay to ship it back everytime it breaks, and they do break, and it will cost you 25 to 50 each time. IMO, you are better off to just buy a higher quality gun that you dont have to worry about.

More accurate that you think. As for the cost to ship it back, should be cheap. It costs me $8 from Tennessee using UPS. I have shipped 2 back with minor problems. One was 8-10 years old and wouldnt eject shot ammo. One was less than a year old and was caused by the Winchester ammo. Both repaired without question and sent back to us in approx 10 days. The rifles are a nice size, the pistols tend to be a little heavier than others, but you dont have a big name stamped on them to jack up the price. As I said above, I wouldnt hesitate to buy one.

On another site a guy bought one and loved it and several guys had them and hated them in 9mm. One guy complained that its $20 in Florida for an FFL dealer to ship the gun back to them and he had to ship it several times in a year. The few Hi Point handguns Ive handled I wasnt impressed at all. Buddy had one that the magazine wouldnt stay in and Ive heard of this problem elsewhere too. Duct tape kept it in or you could hold it. Get what you pay for in most instances.
