How much for a caribou/moose hunt in Alaska?

Me and some friends are looking into a caribou or moose (or both) hunt in Alaska next Fall. Most guided trips I see are way expensive. Can someone give me some useful, less expensive options that would have some degree of success?

I lived there back in the 1980s but things have changed a lot up there. Last I heard all big game hunts for nonresidents had to be done using a registered guide. But even back when I lived up there, nonresident tags were very pricey. If money is a concern, I doubt Alaska is a good option.

Look into Quebec...tons of Caribou and moose.
