Hunting Beards

Postby cjg » Thu Oct 29, 2009 8:23 pm

Anyone else grow a beard for hunting season? I have grown one every year since I got out of the service, I think it helps with the camo and it keeps me warm. Some guys I know don't thinking it's something else to hold scent from breakfast or what ever.

I have done that for 20+ years , until last year and this year. I killed 2 nice deer , don't think there is any connection. I usually use a scentlok hood anyway. sure did make shaving easy.

I do for the week that I go to Pennsylvania but only because it's at our cabin in the mountains. Otherwise if I'm hunting here in Ohio and too scruffy my beard catches on my clothes when I move so I try to keep it shaved. Would be a cool tradition though, I might have to do it just for kicks. :?
