I haven't been fishing in a while but I think I'm going to Canada for walleye this coming summer.

Let me know where you are headed Douglas, maybe I can share some knowledge of the area you plan to visit and help get you on to some good fishing.

Going to Nakina, Ontario. My Uncle has been going there since the 60's but I've never been. It's basically wrong turn moose and bear country off a dirt road. Really secluded, very dark at night, great fishing during the day, perfect.

If you are going to Nakina for fishing you are a very lucky man. Lake Nipigon, the Nipigon River and Nipigon Bay (Lake Superior) are world renownd brook trout fisheries. The world record brook trout came from the Nipigon River (in the early 1900's). I also caught my two personal best brook trout there, both close to 20 inches and 4-5 pounds.

I'm sure there would be great walleye and lake trout fishing in that area too.
