me and a group are coming from LA. We have an older person with us so we are looking for good public land in southern/mid state that is not too steep. Any help?

Bow or gun? The DNR site has all of the public hunting areas listed with the info on each. Shawnee national forest would be one place to consider, espescialy if your coming thru that area anyhow.

If you havent got tags already it may be too late. If you drew tags Jim Edgar is a popular spot with non-residents and there is handicapped accessible area's to hunt that have blinds etc already set up. DNR site can guide you on the regs etc. Alot of JE/ Panther creek is flat ground. Good Luck
