In Need of Hunting Land

Postby Decim8r » Mon Nov 28, 2011 7:15 pm

Hey Everyone,

I just lost my permission to hunt on a large hunting property due to it being sold. Do you know of anyone or anywhere where I could finish out my season. I am looking to bow hunt only. I have had some really bad luck lately. Major issues with a particular sporting goods store dry firing my bow, broke my string and then took them 2 months to finally get it back into shooting order. During that time I lost the land to hunt on, so now I am in need. Please help me out if at all possible. I am an active duty member in the Army stationed here so trying to find places to go has been quite difficult. I would appreciate any help or guidance. Thank you

Thank you for your service. Unfortunately, in the great state of Va, you won't get too many offers for private land. There are some decent military lands to hunt. With you being active duty, you would receive priority treatment. Not sure where you are located, but Ft. Belvoir, Quantico, and Ft. AP are a few opportunities. Check with both. Quantico is probably the easiest to hunt, but have heard good things about Belvoir. Best of luck.
