Informal forum for rut activity in your area

Curious if Deer&Deer Hunting Oct 08 predictions will be close.

Full Moon Nov 13th so start-up much more buck wandering Nov 10-16.

Aggressive chasing of does around Nov 17 - 21st and then breeding for till the end of November.

I know some believe and some don't. Just curious if you would post when you see more daylight buck movement, then aggressive doe chasing and fighting. and finally if you happen to see breeding activity.

That should cause quite a few posts and viewings on this site, unless you are dead tired from sitting all day.

Date, time of day, weather and rough area would be interesting.

Best of Luck and aim low

Bucks are chasing does now

Postby KS arrow flinger » Tue Nov 11, 2008 7:28 pm

On Sunday, Nov 9th, I saw two bucks chasing does like quarter horses. Saw it again on Sunday evening. I'm hunting in Rice County, dead center of the state.

Monday morning saw two bucks working some open ground like bird dogs.

Bucks are definitely chasing in daylight hours. Friend reported bucks trying to isolate does, so the chase is on, wether they are breeding yet, I can't can't say, but the cool weekend and rainy weather of the 10/11th was good for the rut.

We are supposed to have a sunny week, but night temps near freezing each night and a full moon approaching. There will be bucks everywhere.
