Its almost time to get started!

Got questions about what to grow and when to grow it? This is the place to ask.

Going to have 1 acre of corn with beans around it (6-8 rows) on the high ground. Small amount of turnips sewn into corn to see how it grows. Planting 2 acres of clover mix in river bottom. Planting trails in clover mix to make it more quiet while walking in. Planting small clover patches around tree stands.

Also gonna take the time to plant switch grass around 2 sides of my border and strips of it through / around the food plots to section off the plots. This helps reduce social pressure for the deer. They don't like competing for foot, it stresses them out!

What are you planting?

Unfortunately I only have an ATV to do all this. It is very time consuming but fun.

Don't forget a mineral lick. I only have 8.5 acres so it's too small to plant anything. A corn feeder and a mineral lick is all I am going to do.

Can't. It's illegal in IL to use one. I've got 8 acres on my land set aside as a refuge and it would be perfect. Oh well.....
