leupold Vari -X -ii scopes

hi guys a question for you all

I'm looking for a new scope for my 6.5 and I think that I'm going to buy a Leupold Vari-x ii 3-9x50good price from cabelas .Has any body got one of these or used one they have a good name but some first hand experience beats all the talk in the world . Thanks 6.5

I dont personally own one, but my neice has one in 3-9x40 on her .243. I use Simmons as that is a quick buy when I purchase new rifles. We were hunting during the juvenile hunt here and it was almost dark, we saw some doe and I looked through the scope to see if she had a shot. Like I said it close to dark and the scope pulled in tremendous amounts of light and I could see the doe and thought it was a good shot. I gave the rifle back to her and she looked and decided that it wasnt a shot she was willing to take. I was proud of her for making a hard decision, as she was 10 at the time. Anyway, back on subject, I am convinced in the Leupold quality and plan on putting one on my old rifles and on new purchases too. I wouldnt hesitate to use one.

Leupold is a great scope. I have a 6.5x20x40 on a 243 wssm and it is the best setup I have ever shot. Man can a guy see and shoot a long ways out!!!
