Just trying to make sure how to load the lever action rifle...its been a year or so since my firearm safety course. Do you place one cartridge into the chamber and then put 3 into the loading gate into the tubular magazine? Or can you put four in the magazine and then push the lever handle down and that'll bring the first cartridge into the chamber?
..and for the semi-auto you can put one in the chamber by opening the action and then place 3 in the magazine at the bottom?

Okay, load one round at a time THRU the loading gate. Then if you want you can operate the lever action to chamber one round. Then you can replace the round into the loading gate. For a semi auto bolt action magazine fed rifle.Place one round at a time into the box magazine, replace magazine. If you so wish, operate the bolt action to chamber one round. Then remove the box magazine and replace the round you just chambered. However,a word of warning.Rifles have limited ammo room for a reason.Check local laws to find out how many rounds your rifle can LEGALLY hold.
