Looking Ahead

Hey guys, this is my first post here and i have a couple of questions for you. I have done a couple of plots so far, all of which were done in fields, and worked pretty well. Now new people have been hunting near us and the deer are so scared to come into the field. I have decided i want to make a plot sometime in the spring that will attract deer during the summer and hold them their during archery Oct-Nov. O ya im in Pensylvania, so the winters range in temp and the winters a cold. Anyway my solution to my problem is to make a plot in the woods. I have a spot that is pretty open, but there is only a couple maybe 4-6 inches of dirt before you hit rock. So the soil is not that good. I was thinking about planting rye grain or buckwheat, still cant decide what is better fitting for me. I also want to mix in some chicory, and maybe some rape. Let me know if you think this would be a good mmixture for my sistuation, or if you have any other ideas i would love to hear them. The last question i have is how many lbs of each seed i would need i have about an acre to plant. Thanks for the help.

You will get a lot more out of your plot to plant white and crimson clover in your plots.
