I don't know anything particular about Hollister, a map i've seen of it shows it has woods and some crop lands, east and SE Kansas is an area that has a ton of deer, way too many does but a big monster buck can pop up anywere in Kansas.
Kansas has a lot of 'WIHA- walk in hunting areas' to consider also, they are private farms and ranches that the owners allow hunters to park on the side of the road and walk in and hunt the land that is marked on the map and there are signs on their fences.

Click the number on the map you want to open, one thing I might add is to be sure and read the legends of the colors of the hunting areas on the maps, some are different colors signifying different dates the land is open and they also show what game the land owner has seen there.
