looking for good country in western Siskiyou

Postby mmhunts » Tue Jul 17, 2007 9:00 pm

I'm thinking about going up to Siskiyou for my B zone hunt this year. I've heard the western part has some good hunting but I don't know anything about it. Anybody have any good advice they would part with. I've packed into the Trinity Alps several times but I don't really want to do that in Siskiyou if I don't have to. I'll do it to get the wallhanger, but thsi will be the first time in that country and I'd just like to feel it out first. Any help would be much appreciated....Thanks.

I hunt up there every year but on the C side of highway 5. I have hunted over on the B side a few times and had some success up near Sterling Mnt. Sterling Mnt is west of Yreka. Hope this helps a little.
