I am trying to get a conformation. I was recently told that it was legal to hunt with a muzzleloader even if you do not have an FID or LTC but i haven't been able to find out for sure. I called mass wildlife and they said yes but she didn't seem real sure of it. Can anyone help???????

That's correct, but check laws on possession of and purchasing powder, primers, especially shotgun primers. I know in VT a convicted felon can muzzleloader hunt, but cannot possess the 209 primers or purchase them. That's a federal law. Call your local game warden, F & G Club, or fish hatchery for more info.
