I hunt primarily with slug guns in the part of PA that I hunt. I have a 12ga Winchester 1300 that loves Lightfields. I also have a 20ga NEF Single shot that will only shoot the Winchester Supreme with the Nosler Partition gold slugs. Each gun is different and seems to find a brand that it likes. One very important thing to remember is to clean your barrel after every 5 shots when sighting in with sabot slugs. The plastic jacket builds up in the rifeling quickly and really reduces the accuracy of your slugs. Make sure to take a cleaning rod and brush with you to the range so you can try a few different slugs. Also a good tip, sight your gun in 2 inches high at 50yards and that should put you dead on at 100 yard depending on the drop on the box. Read the back of the box for better indications of the drop yardage, but most are pretty much the same. I will say this, once you find the slug that your gun likes, you will be very satified with the accuracy of the new loads that are on the market today. Good luck to all this season.
