On the 15th our crop damage season started. I arrived at the water hole spot with my friend. It was about 4:30. We got setup and never saw a deer until 7:15. A big doe and a few babys came out on the other side of the field. As we were videoing them I turned to look to my left and there was a big doe coming to us. She was going to walk right past a dead spot in the beans that I ranged at 35 yards. All of the sudden she stopped and got nervous. The wind was perfect and in my face at a steady 12 mph. She was shuffleing her legs like she was going to bolt. Then she would move on a little. She repeated this about 3 times then turned towards the other deer quartering away from me. It was perfect. I drew my bow and settled my 30 yard pin on the doe that was 36 yards away now. I put it on the 50% line dead center and released. She ducked the arrow like a champ and ran off. I couldnt beleive it. But we did get to have a good day in the field. The only bad thing is that the whole thing is on video. *lol* But it was fun. I was shaking and all. I love this stuff. We are going to cut them off this week on the trail coming to the field on the other side of the pond. 9 other deer cam out there well before dark. So until next week fellas!!! Sorry no pics.
