it tastes better if you kill it

Black powder in pellet, grain or disc form is very corrosive.I will fire and unload mine when done for the day with a complete cleaning.Corrosive powder wil pitt the inside of your rifle if left very long. And it can get damp forcing you to take your gun apart and clean it anyway. So why not unload and clean when you are done for the day? Then when you are ready to hunt again just reload and you know you will have dry powder, and wont snap a cap on a charge that mat not fire. And keeping your gun clean and free of corrosion will extend the life of the rifle for a long time.Read your instruction manual if you arent sure about proper cleaning. Some products made just for muzzle loaders can be had at your local gun shop or outdoor shop.Enjoy your rifle and take care of it.
