This is our 3rd year doing a foodplot, we have had deer but they never grow large by us because there is no formidable food nearby. So we thought, build a food plot, and they will come. So we did, and we invested in a couple trail cams just to know what was coming in. We didn't see much the first year, saw more the 2nd and now this year we had four MONSTER bucks eating out of it, but we didn't see a single one of those bucks during bow or gun season. Now, we have a 1 1/2 acre food plot, 1 1/4 is soybeans and the other 1/4 is turnips. They have demolished the soy beans before gun season and haven't really touched the turnips, i want to know what would be a good nutritious food to plant for winter on the 1/4 acre. We want to keep them fed through winter and spring to make healthier deer that get good genes and grow large racks.
