How long does it take for a pro to do shoulder mount? Let's say you weren't busy with a lot of work and you just had one head to do. How long would it take?

What's the best way to maintain a mount of any kind? I have a few different deer, a couple turkey fans, some ducks and a few bass.

It takes me ( from the time I start skinning the deer until it is painted and finished) about 5.5 hours. This is not all done in one day of course. skin, flesh, turn, salt ( 1.5 hrs.), re-flesh, wash, remove cartilage ( .75 hrs.),tan ( .25 hrs. ), mannikin prep ( .75 hrs. ), mount ( 1.5 hrs. ), finish ( .75 hrs. ).

I use " Taxidermists Magic" on my mounts ( except fish) to keep them looking fresh. For fish, I spray furniture polish on a clean rag and wipe them down.

Good Questions!

Thanks for the response. I'm assuming you can buy the taxidermy magic from the sites you've listed in your previous post?
