My Food Plot Progress!

Postby bmgoutdoors » Fri Sep 23, 2011 10:27 am

With the Wisconsin Archery season a week underway, I went out to a property I can hunt to move my trail camera around. I decided to swing by my food plot and boy was I surprised!! The Imperial Whitetails Winter Greens mix really took off! I’m now officially kicking myself for not planting a bigger area. It is just about waist high, as you can see in the picture, and I’m just over 6’2” tall. Needless to say I’m super jacked to get out there and hunt it in a couple weeks when the deer start hitting it hard! Have a great Friday everyone and best of luck out in the stand. Remember you’ll never kill a deer sitting on the couch!

Nice job. I hope it pays off for you! What size bag did you use for what is shown in the picture?

Thanks I hope so too! I used the 3lb bag of Imperial Whitetail Winter Greens. They say 3lbs can plant about 1/2 acre and I think that would provide good coverage. My plot is rougly 45 feet x 20 feet so its laid really thick.
