My hunting grounds

Postby fire_boy92 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 3:51 pm

This is the place I hunt in Rusk TX. The pictures are taken from my tripod, the first picture is looking towards my feeder (94yds) and the rest are in order as if you were turning your head right 360 degrees.

well no good ones... you can see part of it in the pics above, just a few sticks of pvc, some "T's","90's" and couplers. I made a box shape and left legs sticking down on all 4 sides. then I decided how tall i wanted the windows and cut the legs and installed couplers at that point. Then on my fence picket frame i drilled holes the size of the pipe and slid the whole unit down. the couplers rest on the wood and theres your window. I peaked the roof and put a tarp on it with zip ties and covered it with brush. A little camo burlap and its all done.

I will take pics of it next time, it was pretty easy to make... and cheap.

PVC pipe blind. Great idea!!! I'm going to try out this theory for this year.

Seems like its going to work good, i wish i had some pictures of it. next couple weeks i will get some. the fence pickets give you a good armrest compard to the thin metal frame of the tripod. I painted the PVC green with some brown for camo. once they pass through the holes in the wood i left about 18-22 inches below to support more camo netting so it would conceal the movements of my legs. also right under the hole I put a screw in the PVC just to make sure it didnt come up in a wind storm.

Now I just need to get some 3/4" treated plywood and make a little floor.

Ok, now I get what you did. I had a similar PVC blind on my old single ladder stand, but upgraded to a 2 man ladder stand that came with the blind before I got a chance to use it. I still have the PVC frame laying around.
