My family got the opertunity to hunt in a quality game management. My grandpa and i decided to hunt on the edge of a field but the field slanted on both sides, and there was a single bush on the top. We got in the blind around 6:00. around 7, we could glimpse two doe walking through the trees to our right. It was to dark to really hit anything accurately unless i got a silouhette, but that never happend. they got behind us and stated blowing at hus, wich was pretty cool to hear. never heard them do that before. Then, later that day at 7:20 PM, i see what looks to be a doe walking down from teh top of the hill. i raised my rifle, and was about to pull the hammer back of my .35 remmington, when my grandpa, whow was looking through bionoculars said that it was a forkhorn. I looked again and saw the horns. BIG horns. at least 5 inches high, wich is the biggest forkhorn i have ever seen. Well, you can not shoot anything with less then 3 points on one side, so i was temporarily out of luck.
Day two wasnt as good. Very foggy in the morning, so notihing was really moving. That night we were walking out of our blind twords the top of the hill, and we saw the forkhorn again. He was very curious this time. we watched him for about 10 minutes, then started walking back to the truck. The deer walked when we walked and stopped when we stopped. he was very curious (wich will probablly kill him eventually.
Seeing those two doe and that forkhorn was pretty cool. Even though i didnt get a deer, i had fun seeing the doe and the forkhorn. It wa almost as good as shooting my doe last year. It was very cool.
