NEED HELP, Picking Scope PLZ

Postby Ryanrex » Sun Nov 21, 2004 7:47 pm

MY brother just bought an older 3030 and I wanted to buy him a scope for chritmas. I was wondering what would be my best bet for around 300 dollers? Your advice would be great!

I like the Weaver Grand Slam, but the Simmons .44mag is cheaper, and I've had one for years without any problems.

this post is kinda old. i would guess that he already has bought it for him. if not i would go with t-birds choice. i dont care for weaver, but i have several simmons. they are great scopes for the price and are under rated. leupold makes a great scope too, but i dont know about 1 for $300 or under. you might an find one for a little over $300 but not less than.

Yes, leupolds are a little pricey, but IMO they are the Benelli of the scope industry. Like they always say you get what you pay for.. 8)

Nah, the binelli of the scope industry would be Swarovski. They make some of the best scopes in the world. Don't get me wrong, Leupolds are great scopes but they don't come anywhere near Swarovski optics.

scopes

i would suggest getting him a leupold 3-9 scope, me personaly dont like the hairline sights, i find them very difficult to see. (i can only imagine what they look like on a black bear) so if you can help it try to find a bigger type of crosshair. :D
