im the only one im my house that hunts and eats deer meat. no one will help haha and im a teenager so im not a good cook, i heard soaking it in milk will get that wild game taste out of it. i need so step by step marinade directions and everything else you could think of thanks!!

ps its thawing in the fridge right now so asap if possible :D

First of all, it's important you don't try and thaw the meat too quickly. Thaw it overnight in the fridge. Then let it sit covered on the counter for an hour before cooking to bring to room temperature.

These recipes are for backstraps, but will do for most venison steaks.

You should not need to marinade it in milk, if anything, a more acidic marinade, like italian salad dressing would be better.

You also might want to try a few recipes yourself before serving it to someone you want to get to like it.

Thanks they are great. but there are mostly cooking, i was really hopping for some marinade recipes, im just gonna throw them on the grill, im a decent griller and they are for me so i can trial and error it. so what do u use to marinade them, im not really into spicey food.

Then if you want something quick and easy, try Italian Dressing as a marinade. Again, drop them on the grill after letting them just come to room temperature.

I usually marinade my grilling steaks with worchestershire sause and Montreal Steak Spice.
