Welcome to the site.Well read the owners manual you got with your rifle carefully.Do not overload your rifle when you charge it with powder.Recoil isnt bad at all, shoot first and become familiar with the gun so you will know what to expect. As for licenses, best advice is check with local fish and wildlife office and local game laws.If you are prepared properly, you shouldnt have any problems.Dont assume you dont have to have a hunting license and deer tagsm always be aware of local laws.Legal shooting hours ect. Dont be afraid to ask questions, someone here will be able to give the right answers.Enjoy the rifle and this site.
