New Bear Charge

Postby DouglasSpear » Fri Jun 04, 2010 7:02 am

Well I put away the PSE Nova since it's nearing end of life. I went to Bass Pro shop to spend my Christmas gift cards and decided on the Bear Charge - ready to shoot. It was quiet, felt good, and cost effective. I added some string silencers, limb savers, and put my kisser button on. I hope to break it in on a deer this hunting season after getting nothing last year. This isn't mine but just what it looks like:

since you have had the charge for a while now... wut do you think of it? I hear that most people say it is well worth the money. i am in college and i am looking for a new or used bow. i do not want to spend very much and the charge would be in my price range. but i can also buy a used mathews or hoyt for just as much and maybe even less. what do u think i should do?

I have a brand new Bear Game Over that I use. I think the Charge is the newer version of that. I love it! Very well worth the money!

I'm very happy with mine so far. I haven't practiced as much as I should but I have the first 2 pins sighted in at 20 and 30 yards. Where I'm hunting I don't have many options for a long shot but eventually I will get the last pin sighted in at either 35 or 40 yards. I do recommend trying a string tamer instead of the string silencers, the silencers seem to affect the speed of the bow. Overall, this bow is light weight, shorter than any other bow I've had, cost effective, and the loaded package comes with good accessories (whisker biscuit, good trophy ridge 3 pin sight, balance, and trophy ridge quiver). The only thing I bought extra to put on was some limb savers.
