You should not be having a problem like that with the string. If you like the Elite bow you should take it to a shop and have it looked at. Better yet, contact PSE and they may fix it under warranty.

bigbuck,
My question to you is, would it possible to fix you problem for less?
Looking for a bow in the $150 range with any accessories will probably put it into an earlier model age. More so in the well used range.
All I can suggest is asking in any classified type forum and see what becomes of that. Perhaps if you have a pawn shop in your area at least you can really look it over.
Beware you get what you pay for.

bigbuck, this is a post from another forum. If you check with PSE you might get lucky too.

I had a Browning Illusion, split limb, that I bought in '99. I noticed the cams were leaning, or that the limbs were twisting, severly. We found that this was a common problem with the split limbs from that era of bow. Bruce at the Bow & Arrow Shop in Lakeside called Browning/PSE to see if they would replace the limbs. At this point, they aren't replacing anything. However, they offered me a new bow, an Eclipse, at their cost of $140. I thought that was very fair. I sent them my old bow, and they shipped my new bow in less than six days. I was impressed. We set up my bow, and it's shooting darts. I'm stoked.

Just wanted to say that Browning/PSE seems to be a respectable company.

And, thanks to the Bow & Arrow Shop in Lakeside, CA.

I shot pse for years they are very respectable. I shot and f-2 maxis for years. It was a 200 dollar cabelas special. It was great, every time I shot it at a deer I just waited to hear the crash. I now shoot a jennings, Grand master. I like it alot. But I was just so used to that pse I wish I never sold it. I dont see anyone getting a bow for under 350 dollars anymore that is worth the money. I am serious about my toys, they have to be perfect. We owe it to the animals we hunt to be perfect.

i agree with most of others, you arent going to get a "good" bow for $150. in my opinion it would be in your best interest to have that bow sent back to the manufacturer or take the $150 and have it repaired at an authorized service center.
