New Guy from Tennessee

Hi, I found this sight about a month ago, I guess it is about time I introduce myself. I live in East Tn, Knoxville area. This is my first year at deer hunting, wanted to take it up, just never made the initial investment until now. I was also waiting for my son to get "of age" you might say. He is 8 now, and has been expressing interest in deer hunting. So he is getting a new youth rifle for Christmas, should be fun. There is a youth hunt coming up in TN in January that we are planning on doing some hunting.

I live on 21 acres here, so when I hunt, I just have to go out in the back yard. I had our land logged about 10 years ago, it has created some pretty thick floor now with sapplings about the size of your wrist and about 20-30 ft tall. Great cover for deer, makes hunting a bit hard. I found that out the hard way on Thanksgiving morning! Anyways, glad I found the sight, I have already picked up a few things.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck to both of you during the juvenile hunt.
Curiosity killed the cat, but I was a suspect for a while......
