New Here Everyone

Hello everyone, i'm new to this sight and would love to hear stories of your hunts that ended i or without success. My definition of success may differ from yours but that's ok. :D ..I define success really as even seeing the game I am in pursuit of..Success isn't always the fact that you've taken the game in which you were hunting for..I get alot of enjoyment just from watching whitetails moving around undisturbed not even knowing i'm there..Oh well, enuff of that. :) ..If anyone would like to share stories, that's why I joined this thing in the first place..lol..Good day and great hunting you all... lil_big_man08

Hey lil big,
I agree! Some of my best stories aren't about even seeing deer. Last week I was in a tree and a possum came up to a dead stump and started drinking water from it. About 15 minutes later he's sort of fallen in. He tries to groom himself and falls over and goes back for another drink. Half an hour later he staggers off three sheets to the wind, stumbling and bumping into rocks, weaving like a drunk man.
I brought a jar with me next time I came out but the stump was about empty. Any idea what was in it? What gets a possum drunk? I don't have a clue, but it was a good time. The stump smelled sort of sweet and musty, but nothing too strong.

Just an update on the possum thing. They are laying deaad all over the place. I think the possum in my story was just one of the first to get sick with the possum flu. (or something).
