First site I ever joined concerning deer hunting, I have had horrible luck this season, had a bad shot on a Co Elk 5X5 lost him, just missed a massive rack 10 PT on MCB Quantico a week ago, missed and 8PT or better 2 weeks before that. I am here for tips and tactics and I have hunted for over 20 years but always willing to learn. I retire from the USMC next fall, and I am looking for a good hunt club, any access to private land with in 2 hrs of Fredericksburg, Va, and any leases as well. I am an ethical hunter, I do not hunt with dogs, and I hunt with bow, rifle, and muzzel loader. I am an expert shot in the USMC, and I have shot some competition. I respect hunting and I also love fishing and getting out on my boat in the spring and summer. Here is one for you, how high do my fellow hunters climb in their climbers? I am usually between 20-30' yet this year more deer seem to be seeing me, any ideals?
