hello everyone... i am new to the handgun hunting and need a little help. i have a model 65 s&w 357 with the made into frame sights. i do not want to tap and drill into my gun since it was my forst gun about 20 years ago. i am buying a 357 with the 6 inch barrel and was wondering if someone could help me find a good scope and mount to mount on the gun. i dont know exactly what i am going to get by brand name but i like the 357 because i have a daughter that i want to get into shooting with a 38. any help would be greatly appreciated. also what yardage would i be able to kill deer with. that is the only thing i hunt besides duck and i am not that good. thank you all for any help.

I would look into some pistols with scope mounts built in(Ruger), ones with a rail for a scope mount or one that is already drilled and tapped. There are several models that you can find by doing a simple search on the web. You can spend what you want on a pistol scope. The sky is the limit on price and quality. I would look into Nikon or Bushnell to start and if you want higher end, look into Leupold, Zeiss or Swarovski. The option is yours as you and her will be the ones shooting it the most. The rule is to spend at least hte same amount on the scope as you did the firearm.
Curiosity killed the cat, but I was a suspect for a while......
