new to ny hunting

anyone out there know of any good resources I can use to find a place to hunt in NY? I am a graduate student in New York city and I am from washington state so I am starting from scratch. bass fishing in central park was the only thing that kept me sane two years ago, the last time i was in nyc. i really hope i can get some hunting in too this time around because being from washington nyc is not a fun place for a country boy. any pointers for someone new to ny would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know of transportation options between NYC and the Catskill's? More specifically, Indian Head Wilderness and Devil's Tombstone Campground.

If you are going to be hunting I think you should get your own vehicle. I can't imagine public transportation letting on the bus or train with a dead deer carcass.
