New to traditional

Postby OSO M » Sun Nov 13, 2011 11:29 am

I have shot a recurve in the past but haven't considered hunting with one until recently. I have been practicing everyday for about 2 weeks but cant seem to get it. I can hit in the 10 ring 1 in every 3 arrows shot, but miss the whole target at least the same. Im having a hard time. My season starts in under a month does anyone have any ideas? I have tried different standing positions and different arrows it doesnt seem to make a noticable difference. Some one told me not to aim just pull and shoot, like throwing a rock at something. i am at a loss somebody help.

I'm thinking of getting a longbow for Christmas. I can't wait! I got the bug at the Renaissance Festival here.
What doesn't kill me makes me stronger!

sorry i haven't posted in awhile but with thanksgiving and family and all i've been extremely busy. I just wanted to let you guys know that i am getting more comfortable with my recurve. I realize that i still need alot more practice even though i seem to be hitting the hitting the 10 ring with 90 percent of my shots.
