I haven't used scents very much and have recently been reading all the info I can about using them. I have my trail cam out and for the last 5 days I have had a shooter buck visiting 4 out of the 5, and have had him on cam before, this season, aswell. I was thinking about using some doe estrus gel and putting it out tomorrow but im not sure now after seeing him on film without it. Im not sure how to use it exactly either? do you rub it on some branches and such around the area?? i wont be hunting untill the 30th of november and i dont want to put it out too early and have the buck bored with it come hunting time. my other concern is i dont want to scare him off by doing somthing he doesn't think is right, since hes coming in quite a bit here recently. So after seeing him on cam I was thinking about just keep doing what i have been with feed and leave the site alone untill the 30(first day im going out). I was also thinking about hanging a rag soaked in tarsal glan gel from a branch in my shooting lane when i get out to hunt and taking it down when i leave each day, but then again i dont want to change somthing and scare him away. If its going to help possibly bring him in for a shot then ill try anything. I live in northern cental kansas and it will be late rut then i would say. thanks
