New to this site and I'm based in California but never hunt here. I usually hunt Colorado, Utah or Arizona. My primary interest is mule deer and my favorite rifle is my tried and proven Mod. 70 Featherweight in .270. I'm also thinking about trying muzzleloading sometime soon.
I am putting in for unit 64 in Colorado this year and have never hunted that area. I'm hoping to get drawn for 3rd season. I used to hunt down in unit 72 but want to try a new area.
Anyone out there know anything about decent public land spots in unit 64 or 65, please let me know, I would be really appreciative. Been doing a lot of map viewing and research, but nothing speaks like someone who has been there.
