nocturnal buck question

iv been scouting a big 10 point around a 165in im pretty sure he is nocturnal at this point. every pic of him is at night between 1-4 am i was wondering when he gets ready to look for does would be get up early so i could hunt him in the evening or stay up late and i could hunt him in the morning. just wondering if anyone would know

Thats a hard one to answer. If I had the chioce and he really is a 165" I would be out there both times the more time you spen in the stand the better the odds are. Once the rut kicks in he will prolly start traveling more during the day to spread his seed.

If you can take it a step further, during the rut hunt all day. Take a snadwich and a bottle of water. When the rut kicks in that joker is just as likely to step out at 1:00 pm as he is to step out at 1:00 am. I have shot several good bucks and seen more in the middle of the day than I have at any other time. It's really worth it. It's kind of hard to do at first because your confidence isn't really high but the first time you see a few deer or even a good buck you will want to sit all day everyday.
Keep the tradition alive, teach a kid how to hunt.

I agree with Kwack. During the rut, hunt all day.

If you dont know when the rut is or arent sure, call your DNR and ask them. They will know more than any magazine or tv show will about your area. They have been out there and have collected data for years.
Curiosity killed the cat, but I was a suspect for a while......
