norton kansas area

i'm looking for some info on mule deer hunting around norton kansas i'm from south east kansas and am thinking about heading out west to shoot a muley with a bow...i've got a few places to hunt but am not sure when the best time to go hunt is....if anyone is familiar with this area maybe you could give me some insite on their tendancies....trying to make it out there befor december 1st but i've still gotta hunt the rut here in SEK
