Thanks! I have a Nikon D40. Its awesome for up close and medium range stuff, but I need a bigger lens for some distance shots. We were just in PR for the afternoon and night, so we never got out of San Juan. Other than the beach, San Juan is a dump.

Thanks! NY state is mostly rural, NYC is just the armpit on the southeast corner lol. Adirondack State park is big enough to put Yellowstone and 5 or 6 other western National parks inside of and still have room left over. Most people think of NY as just NYC, but that just isnt the case thank goodness!

I took my daughter over to a local county park to go to the playground for a bit, and we ended up getting a bunch of deer pictures. Enjoy!

They were all taken from the car on our way in and then out again. This park has a very bad population problem, so they are everywhere and arent scared of cars. As long as you dont get out of the car, they just stay there.

NYB
Nice pics. Can you hunt in the park?
I know over here they had sharp shooters with silencers come in at night and "remove" a few from the city parks. It was only does removed.

Nope, absolutely zero hunting in or around the park. 90% of the people that own the adjoining land are anti-hunters so they dont allow anyone to hunt. If and or when they do the smart thing and setup a limited permit program (like other towns around here are beginning to do), Ill be first in line for one of the permits. There are some absolute monster deer in there.

I dont agree with the bait and shoot programs, they have to pay people to do it, whereas if they setup a program to close the park (or parts of it) for a certain amount of time and sell the tags to hunters who pass a simple shooting test (3 arrows out of 4 on a pie plate at 35 or 40 yards). That way they make money instead of spend it, and get the deer population more under control while they make a bunch of hunters happy at the same time! Sounds like a winner to me. Too bad most politicians' heads reside in their nether-regions.
