I am coming to Ohio for the first time to hunt during the thanksgiving holidays,What should I hunt by, acorns, corn filed, soy bean field ? Any ideals that will help me take that big buck ? I am from Alabama we just don't grow them as big as Ohio does.

In terms of food sources, you usually can't beat acorns; however, this time of year, your best bet is to find a prime bedding area near a good food source and set up in between the two....it's even better if the primary food source is smaller and/or in the woods rather than a field as the deer will feel more comfortable in this type of setting. The bucks will be looking for the hot does and it's a good bet the does will be heading to where there's available food sources. Let us know how things turn out!
Although this saying might be a little cliche, it's so true... hunting is not just a passion, it's an obsession.....it's part of what defines my life.....and I wouldn't have it any other way!

The deer hunt was ok, but no deer kill, I saw one buck 6 pt. he was 51 yards it was to far for me to take a shoot, saw a alot of does, the deer was not moving much. I will be back next year during the rut.
