Anyone see where the DNR "admitted" they "inflated" the deer census counts for the last few years? I read it on here and got a call that it was published but cant find the magazine article, newspaper etc? Some of our spots seem to have a decent population, few seem to be over populated but several also are just about deer deserts. Our ground in Pike county seems to be way over populated. One 300ish acre farm in Morgan though doesnt hardly have a deer track and didnt last year either. Wanted to get gun tags for several counties but at $25 each, ouch. Expensive tag soup. Rumor Im hearing from Springfield is the DNR wants leftovers so they can push for more nonresident tags to be issued/allowed. Anyone else not seeing the deer they have in the past?
