Pictures of my hunting set up. Learned allot!

Well, I think I am fully satisfied now with my set up finally! I love the Bowtech Admiral and want to thank the person who referred me to it on here. I shot other high end pro bows, but the admiral seemed to be what I wanted. I still want to try out the Omen, but Don't think I will buy it. I realize there's more to just speed. (Such as control).I was going to sell my PSE Thunderbolt X, but decided to keep it. It's fun having a 2nd bow for a buddy to shoot with you outside.

The sites I got I LOOOOVE!! Infact I bought two of them. I have my bows set up at 65lbs. May lower it about 5 lbs, but not sure what kind of difference that will really make. I went with lighter arrows and it made a difference in how fast these bows shoot.

I also got an outdoor target that is made by Morrell's outdoor range. Man I love this target! It's soo easy to pull an arrow out with no effort and man it's a tough target! No more foam targets for me.

Tuning the bow with paper makes allot of sense now and seems to work real well. I was using a bow square and other laser alignment tools with no luck. I was trying to get everything squared up and precise. I still had issues with keeping consistent on the bulls-eye from different yardage. I got my bow paper tuned and things where no longer quite square anymore, but I was dead on accurate. LOL!

This stuff is addictive and can spend a small fortune real quick!

Congrats bud, looks sweet and glad you like the Admiral.

I may have to get one myself and retire my old PSE.

Including bow and all the gear for it like sight, rest, etc what did you pay?

The lone buck definitely heard your bow on release, I would also point out that (you need to aim at the bottom 1/3 of the heart lung area), then whether he drops/squats down like that or not you will still get the lungs.

It looked like in the video on the two deer (does) that they were feeding towards you and (quartered/angled) towards you and from an ethics standpoint most of us would consider that a no shot situation where we would pass or would wait for the doe to turn (broadside/sideways) and if that doesn't happen thats part of the breaks of hunting.

Too easy to just injure and not kill a deer on a frontal shot like that or if you hit them in the guts it could take days for them to die with no recovery for you.

Sorry if it sounds like i'm getting preachy but even if you take nothing but ethical shots you'll still make a bad shot once in a while and miss deer and sooner or later injure a deer that you probably won't recover but at least by only taking ethical shots it will help limit those.

Good Luck !

Yeah the shot on the 2nd deers do look quartered away, but actually they where not. It was almost a broad side shot. Video is a bit deceiving. Did you see the arrow launch? If you look real closely you can see the path all the way to the ground.

Sorry perhaps I wasn't clear, I was saying the does where quartered towards you with their heads facing towards you which is a bad position for an arrow shot.

A broadside shot or with their body slightly angled facing away from you is preferred for a more ethical shot.

Sorry but I watched it repeatedly on the does and couldn't watch the arrow all the way, the aluminock on the buck shot shure makes it nice though.
